Ein Dorf 1955-2022. Ute Mahler, Werner Mahler und Ludwig Schirmer

Words of greeting
Introductions to the festival and exhibitions by Maren Lübbke-Tidow, Artistic Director of EMOP Berlin 2025 and curator of the main festival exhibition; Johanna M. Keller, Head Of Programming of the Akademie der Kunste in conversation with curator Marit Lena Herrmann and the photographers Ute Mahler and Werner Mahler.

Innere Stadt | Sound, image, and live texts by Paul Hutchinson
In a presentation specifically created for the opening ceremony of EMOP Berlin 2025 at the Akademie der Künste Berlin, Paul Hutchinson presents an insight into his current workings, bringing together moving image, sound and photographic works in a performative reading. Known for his investigations into urban life, negotiating questions of class, social injustice and inner-city culture, the artist invites us to an audiovisual excursion that includes both recent and unpublished works and texts.

In conclusion: Get-Together with DJ-Set
Bandidas
, queer DJ duo from Berlin. Their musical home lies in the exciting field of tension between House and Tropical sounds, weaving warm rhythms and pulsating beats into a unique experience.

Party with DJ FRZNTE
As a DJ, FRZNTE transforms exhibitions, film events and nightclubs into an extravaganza of wild parties with her mix of hip hop, disco, techno, booty beats and the most beautiful "all-time favourites". Their music is both trash and glam.

Note: Photographs and films will be taken during the event for documentation and public relations purposes.
